Can I change or cancel a crypto transaction?

Updated over a week ago

Once you confirm the payment for a crypto purchase or transfer on Ramp Network, the transaction is final and cannot be changed or canceled. This is due to the nature of blockchain technology, which processes transactions in real-time and permanently records them.

However, if you haven’t completed the payment yet, the transaction not be completed and will automatically expire after a certain period, so no further action is needed on your part.

🔄 Can I change the wallet address after the transaction starts?

Once a transaction is in progress or completed, the wallet address cannot be changed. Since crypto transfers are irreversible, it's essential to double-check the wallet address before confirming the transaction.

If you mistakenly enter the wrong wallet address, the funds will be sent there permanently. Unfortunately, we cannot reverse the transaction or offer a refund.

You can change the address only before the payment is confirmed. If you haven't paid yet, simply let the transaction expire and then initiate a new one with the correct wallet address. Remember that it's crucial to verify the address carefully before proceeding.

If you notice that the wallet address is prefilled, we recommend contacting your wallet provider’s support to ensure it is correct before proceeding.

Can I cancel my transaction if I haven’t paid yet?

If you haven’t confirmed the payment, your transaction will automatically expire after a set time, and you don’t need to manually cancel it.

Please note that starting and abandoning transactions frequently may result in temporary restrictions on your ability to create new transactions.
