Most transactions settle within minutes, although sometimes it may take a bit longer. Here's a list of potential reasons behind delays.

While most transactions on Ramp Network settle within minutes, there are specific scenarios where settlement times might extend beyond the norm. These situations can arise due to various factors. Below are the common reasons for transaction delays.

🏦 Manual bank transfers take longer

Typical manual bank transfers take 2-3 business days to clear. For some German banks, this time can be as much as 6-8 business days (bear in mind that these are estimates only; the actual time depends on your bank).

🌐 Network congestion

Sometimes, blockchains experience heavy traffic during peak usage hours. Unfortunately, this congestion is beyond our control. Rest assured, though, that your funds are safe. We’re diligently monitoring the situation, and as soon as the network clears up, your transaction will go through.

🕵️ Extra checks required

Transaction can suffer unexpected delay if, for any reason, we have to conduct extra checks. We strive to complete these checks promptly to minimize any inconvenience.

📄 KYC limit exceeded

KYC (Know Your Customer) is a standard procedure used to verify the identity of customers to ensure the safety and security of transactions.

If you exceed your KYC limit, we'll need to conduct additional verification. This process depends on the transaction amount, and you'll receive instructions via email. Please keep an eye on your email for further guidance. Your transaction will be processed as soon as you complete the verification process.

🚩 Technical issues

Occasionally, delays may occur due to technical issues on our end. Rest assured, our dedicated technical team is committed to resolving any issues as soon as possible!

Keep an eye on your emails or our Ramp Network Support X (ex-Twitter) account, where we promptly share any system-wide issues and important updates.

Dont worry though Your funds are secure and will not be lost. If we encounter a technical issue preventing us from processing your transaction, we will promptly issue a refund. ⚠️ What to do if I wasn’t redirected to the confirmation page and couldn’t complete my transaction?

If you weren’t redirected to the confirmation page, it’s likely due to a pop-up blocker or disabled pop-up notifications. Try disabling your pop-up blocker or switching to a different browser and attempting the transaction again.

If your bank has charged you but the transaction didn’t go through, don’t worry - the funds are typically on hold and will be automatically returned within 3-10 business days. Please contact your bank for assistance if the funds haven’t been returned within that timeframe.
