Why did my Proof of Address verification fail?

If your POA was rejected, it’s usually due to one of the common issues below.

Updated over a week ago

✅ To pass verification, your document must meet all of these conditions:

  1. It was issued recently – within the last 3 months (90 days)

  2. It shows your full name – the same one used on your Ramp account and ID

  3. It shows your full home address – including street name, building number, etc.

  4. It comes from a trusted source – like a bank, utility company, or government office

  5. It’s clear and easy to read – not blurry, cropped, not a screenshot

❌ Rejections usually happen because:

  1. The document is too old (older than 3 months)

  2. The name on the Proof of address document doesn’t match your ID document.

  3. The address is incomplete (missing street, number, etc.)

  4. It’s an unsupported type (like handwritten notes, delivery labels, cropped screenshots)

  5. The image is blurry or cropped

  6. It’s not in your name. We can’t accept POA documents addressed to someone else — even if you live at the same address.
